Abstract

A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a network composed by a large number of low-power, inexpensive sensors which self organize into an ad-hoc network. WSN application developers have to deal both with business logic and with WSNs' issues, like networking (routing), storage, and transport issues, and a structured middleware can provide the necessary abstractions from common WSNs' issues.
Producing such a middleware is not an easy task, and this presentation will briefly analyze some building blocks that can be employed toward such an ambitious goal.
